Skin18.com recently launched its new 1-100s Reviews Program. Of course, I hopped on that thing as soon as I heard about it. It's basically a chance to get yourself out there as a beauty blogger and get free product to review in the process. Signing up is super easy. Just click here, and follow the steps to apply. When you first apply, you get 3 masks to choose from: Beauty Friends II, Mirum Fresh Fruit, or Nature Republic Real Nature. I chose a Beauty Friends masks because I had never tried their masks before. The mask you receive is a random flavor. I was sent the Aroma Essence Mask Skeet Pack.
Claims: This water-soluble essence mask sheet pack is designed to deeply moisturize and condition the skin using concentrated natural plant extracts that help the skin absorb nutrients. Helps to soothe the tired skin and make skin feel soft and supple while it cleans and moisturizes.
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin. Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Triethanolamine, Camelia Sinensis Leaf Extract/ Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract/ Mentha Piperita Root Extract, Flycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Prunus Armeriaca (Apricot) Fruit Extract, Glycine Max (soybean) Seed Extract, Melpighia Glabra (Acerola) Fruit Extract
Some notables in here include Sodium Hyaluronate (for hydration) and Portulaca Oleracea Extract (for soothing).
Process: Wash your face and soothe it with toning water. Apply mask for 20-30 minutes. Remove mask and do not rinse. Allow excess moisture to be absorbed.
Performance: I'm basing this section mostly off of the claims. I had some active breakouts when I applied this, and they were definitely less irritated after removing the mask. I can actually touch my face without it hurting. I didn't really notice any extra hydration. My face felt very smooth afterwards.
Final Thoughts: I hated the fit on this. The mask sheet is made of a very thick material. I didn't leave it on for a full 30 minutes because the chin part kept lifting. I'm also not a huge fan of the scent. It smells vaguely like dish soap. This is not a mask I would repurchase.
