And I started my own Mary Kay Business! My nail art game has been lacking a bit, but I'll show you what I did anyway.

March 2014 Starlooks Starbox

I'm so glad I put of the last up my Starlooks Loyalty Rewards purchase last week, because a few days after I did, I got my March Starbox in the mail! This month's box was curated by Ashley Hackman. She has a Youtube channel that you can check out, as well. I've been subscribed to her channel for a little over a month now, and she broke the news a few weeks ago that she was going the be featured in this month's box.

This month's physical box was different from the usual Starbox boxes. This month it was black with red lettering. The entire layout of the front was different. Usually the box cover is really simple. I've never gotten a special edition Starbox before, so this was new for me.

Inside, there is always a card detailing what comes in the box and a look using the contents. This month, the look was very classic and neutral. Starbox has started giving out different things in their boxes, like if you got a liptsick, you could have gotten 1 of 3 shades. For this box, since it's special edition I assume, everyone got the same thing.

There were three items included for this month, but no extra. Bummer. I've come to enjoy the little extras they give us.

The first item to come out of the box was a lipstick in the shade Boss. The site says it has a satin finish. It's a very bold, bright, orangey red with a tiny bit of shimmer. I don't have a swatch of it, because I don't like red lipstick so I'm giving it to a friend. I considered keeping it for the packaging alone. It has Ashley's name on the side in a cute cursive font. All three products have specially made packaging this month.

Because red lipsticks tend to run or feather and are generally hard to keep on your lips, a lip liner was also included in this month's box. The color is Cherry Cedar, which is a rusty, dark cherry. This I am keeping. I put it on and wore it with a nude lipstick I had that tends to wash me out. It made the color more of a mauvey nude, which I liked.

You can't rock a red lip without black eyeliner. We got the Longwear Eyeliner Pot in the color Black Hole, which is, you guessed it, a black cream liner. It goes on glossy, but dries down to a matte finish. It does not move once it sets, either.

Baby girl wanted to do her own swatch, lol.

The total retail value for the March Starlooks Starbox was 37$. Any single item almost pays for the price of the box. If you'd like to see what Starbox has to offer before you decide to subscribe, here are links for the February Starbox and the things I got from my Loyalty Rewards (Part 1 & Part 2). Come back and see me!

Starbox Loyalty Rewards Part 2

And I'm finally getting around to posting Part 2 of my Starlooks Loyalty Rewards purchase! As you saw in Part 1, I got the July 2013 Starbox. Well, for the second part, I got the November 2013 Starbox! Like I said in my previous post, when you subscribe to Starbox and get your box 3 months in a row, you qualify for a 35$ Loyalty Reward. If you'd like to subscribe to Starbox, I would really appreciate it if you used my referral link.

The November Box came with 3 full size products and the little bonus product that we always get.

First, I saw the brush! I love getting brushes in subscription boxes. They're usually really high quality, too. The brush that came in this box is their Slanted Liner 824 brush. The bristles are nice and dense, but still really soft. On their site, this brush retails for 18$.

Next thing I pulled out was the smaller box. It contained another eyeliner! This time the shade is Orion. It's a gorgeous bold blue with a tiny bit of shimmer. Their liners retail for 13$.

Last in this box, was another thing I've been lusting after. I got another 5 Shadow Palette! This time I got it in the color Monaco. This palette has some really gorgeous shadows in it. The ones I'm most excited about are the matte dark blue and the matte bright orange. These go for 41$.

I should be getting my March Starbox sometime soon, so come back and see what's in it!

March 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag

I am super excited about this month's bag, mainly for the actual bag! This is the first time Ipsy has teamed up with an artist of any kind to collaborate on a makeup bag. It is super funky and cute! I really don't want to babble on today, so let's just get started.

The Goods:

Like I said, the bag this month is way too cute! It has a rubberized texture to it, which is different from any other Ipsy bag we've gotten of this style.

So the first thing I pulled out of this month's bag was the nail polish. It's the Nicole by OPI Roughles in the color "On What Grounds?" I was super excited for the color, but then I realized it was textured. I cannot stand textured nail polish. It makes me cringe. I did swatch it, just to see what it would look like, and I hated it. Enough said.

The next item I pulled out was the mini lipstick from Bare Minerals. It's from their Marvelous Moxie line and is in the shade Get Ready. I initially was a little intimidated because I thought it would be a rose red color based on the packaging, but when I opened it, I absolutely fell in love with the color! It's more of a mauve red, which is right up my alley. The packaging is so stinking cute, too! I love minis!

Up next are the Klorane Soothing and Relaxing Eye Patches. These do come in a little paper packet, but Ipsy sent 2! I'm really glad they did, so we get to try them out twice to see if we really like them. I tried mine out just this morning (3.17.14) and noticed that they have a really nice cooling sensation, as well as they immediately take away any puffiness under the eyes. The skin under my eyes felt fantastic to the tough, like they were really hydrated. I really liked that.

The last item in the bag was an eye shadow quad from Be A Bombshell in the color Bora Bora. . Ipsy features this brand a lot, and while I do like their products, I wish Ipsy would switch it up a bit. I love the colors! They are all shimmers, but you could create a complete look with the colors. They feel really nice to the touch too.

Price Summary:
NOPI (FULL SIZE) - 7.00
BareMinerals - 7.50
Klorane Patches - 5.14
BaB Quad  (FULL SIZE)- 16.00
Total: 34.64

That's everything from this month's bag! I hope the feedback was helpful to anyone wanting to subscribe to Ipsy. You could use my referral link if you like to sign up. It's only 10$ a month! Don't forget to check out my Ipsy bag from February 2014!

More Lip Products!

I have been loving lip products lately! And blushers too, but I've bought way less. Everything I got is from the drugstore, as always. I believe both the single lipsticks are available for purchase still, but I don't think the set it. Each individual item that is available for purchase will have a link to its website. Let's do it!

Maybelline New York ColorSensational Lipstick - 950 Untainted Spice
I've been lusting after a few of these and I finally bought one! I love the entirety of the ColorSensational line and have 6 other lipsticks from them, but this is my first from the Buff line! The color is super pretty. It's a dark, kind of mauvey brown nude color. It's super hydrating like all the other ColorSensationals too!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick - Snow Peach
Snow Peach is a rerelease of a classic Revlon lipstick color. They reinstated 5 different colors. I wanted 2 of them, but this is the only one I wanted that my local CVS had in stock. I've never purchased a Revlon lippie before, so I don't know what to expect out of this lipstick. When I swatched it, it went on really went and the color payoff is good. We'll see how this goes!

Nyx Holiday Lip Set:
Retractable Lip Pencil - Nutmeg
Pump It Up Lip Plumper - Elizabeth
Diamond Sparkle Lipstick - Sparkling Flamingo
Glam Gloss Aqua Luxe - VIP
I found this set at Target. It was on sale for 4.99$ so of course I had to get it! I absolutely love that the lip pencil is retractable! You lose so much less product that way. It's creamy and easy to apply. The lip plumper has the typical tingling feeling when you apply it. It is really thick and a bit tacky but it's nothing that I can't deal with. The lone lipstick in the set is soooo creamy! I only have one other NYX lipstick and the quality is the same. I'm glad to see that. This color reminds me of a Starlooks lipstick I got in my February bag. The last lipstick in the set is a lot less stick than the other. It has a ton of shimmer in it, and it feels water based. I have no complaints about anything in this set.
