Hard Candy Fast & Fabulous Makeup Setting Spray Review

As promised, here is my review of the Hard Candy Fast & Fabulous Makeup Setting Spray. I bought this at the same time I bought my Fast & Fabulous Translucent Finishing Powder. Check out my thoughts on that here.

This is the first real setting spray I've ever used. I was never really big into setting my makeup until recently. I started searching for new powders, when I found the Fast & Fabulous. This setting spray was sitting right next to it. I couldn't pass it up considering how cheap it was. Even if it wasn't that great, I was only out 6 bucks.

I found this at my local Walmart for just 6$. You get 2.2 fl oz of product. It has a large cap on the top, and a standard misting spray nozzle. The mechanism doesn't stick and comes out in a surprisingly fine mist. I don't fins that I ever have large droplets on my face once I'm done spraying it.

The smell is very pleasant, but hard to describe. I can't put an actual recognizable smell to it, but it's very natural and clean smelling. I use this after I've powdered my face, usually with the powder from my previous post. It helps to make everything settle into place, and give my face more of a flawless finish.

I absolutely love the way this makes my makeup look. Everything just melds together and looks so much more finished than it does with just powder. I've also noticed that it makes my face products, especially my foundation, last so much longer. I can apply it at at 3:30, go to work in the heat, and when I get back home at the end of the night around 9:30, my makeup still looks fresh.

It's an incredible product, and I would absolutely recommend it. I haven't tried the setting spray from L'Oreal, but just comparing the prices, get this one. It works, and it works really well.

Hard Candy Fast & Fabulous Translucent Finishing Powder Review and Comparison

Hey lovelies^-^ Welcome back to the blog. I wanna tell you guys about some new items from Hard Candy that I ran across at Walmart recently that I've been completely loving. I've got two products to tell you guys about. I'll be talking about them in two separate posts that will be published within a few days of each other. So keep an eye out for that! It will be up on Friday.

The Hard Candy Fast & Fabulous Translucent Finishing Powder retails for just 6$! I picked this up, initially, because I've been on the hunt for some new powders to try out since it's oppressively hot and humid this summer. The packaging for this had a big ole "NEW" slapped across the top of it, and it had "oil control" on it, so I said YES!

You get .32 oz of product, which is less than my Rimmel Stay Matte that I wanted to compare it to. The Stay Matte has .49 oz of powder. In the pan, the Hard Candy powder is white and has a really silky feel to it. Once blended in, you can't even tell the powder was white to begin with. It leaves no sort of cast behind. You skin feels super soft to the touch once applied.

The Rimmel powder, on the other hand, has a more beige/yellow tone to is. I have to use a very light application with this product, because, unlike the one from Hard Candy, this one leaves a white cast if you apply it too generously. I find that if I use it like I the Fast & Fabulous powder, I look ashy. My skin does feel just as soft with this powder, though.

As far as how well it sets my makeup, how it mattifies, and how long it lasts, I greatly prefer my Hard Candy Powder. I was expecting to be completely wowed by the Stay Matte, but I just find it hard to use. I like what it does for my oily/combo skin, but I don't like how touchy of a powder it is. I can only use this on days where I have a little bit more time to dedicate to my makeup. With the Hard Candy powder, I can just dust it all over without even looking and leave without having to worry about if I look crazy or not. Both of them last about the same amount of time on their own.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope this review was helpful for all of you. Remember to come back on Friday for a review on the setting spray.

August Makeup Stash

Hey, hey, hey! Welcome back to the blog. As I promised in my July Makeup Stash, I'll be doing little mini reviews on each product, as well as introducing you all to my new 5 products for the month.

Rimmel Stay Matte - I didn't hate it. I'm still trying to figure out how to use it. I don't hate it, but I don't love it.

Julep Illume Brightener - This is in the same boat as the Stay Matte powder. I have to be super careful about how I use it. It can go ashy on me if I use too much, but it does illuminate well.

Starlooks Roseate Lip Pencil - The formula is great! And I love the color. It's really nice under a more brown toned nude.

Maybelline Fierce & Tangy Color Tattoo - It applies a little patchy, but it's definitely a great eyeshadow base.

Julep Aurora Nail Color - Unfortunately, I didn't get to try this. I just never got around to painting my nails this month, so this will be my 6th product for August.

I haven't heard much talk about this concealer. Like, anything. So obviously, I bought it, and I'm gonna test it out. I have mine in the shade 315/320 deep. It says it's a lightweight formula that's oil free, won't clog your pores, and will hide discoloration.

Once again, I've never heard anyone talk about this. I have super sparse brows, especially at the tail of my brows. I wanna try this on my lashes as well, just because I wanna see if this will work on both, or at all.

I have wanted this blush for the longest time! It's such a pretty bright reddish orange. I'm so in love with this before even trying it. This is also my first NYX blush. If I like it, I'm totally going out to buy more.

I'm way too excited for this! I saw that City Color just released new shades. If this is love at first swipe, I cannot wait to get my hands on a few more colors from the rest of the line.

This is totally my color! It's a muted, warm, brown mauve color. It's gonna be absolutely perfect for fall.

Those are my new products I plan on trying out for August! I most excited about the Rimmel growth serum. Hopefully it works really well, cuz my brows need some tlc!

Project 10 Pan 3 Week Update

Monday marked the halfway point in this Project Pan. And it's making me think it should last twice as long! To see where I started, be sure to check out the original Project 10 Pan post. Alright, let's go through these in no particular order.

There are a couple of these that I hardly touched in the last three weeks. I completely forgot I even had the Victoria's Secret body butter. I may have used it once, but I know I can finish this off, because there really isn't much product left in the container. I just have to remember to use it.

Aside from that, I didn't really use the lipgloss but once either. I just haven't really been wearing anything on my lips except lip balm, and when I do wear something on my lips its, I haven't wanted to top it with a gloss.

I've actually been using the Bare Minerals lipstick, but really only in the beginning. I did make a little bit of progress on it, if you can see the markings on the cap. The same goes for the Wet N Wild lip liner. I use it a bit more than I use the lipstick, though.

The products I've been trying really hard to make a dent in, are the ones that I use on a regular basis. These include my cleanser, the BB cream, facial moisturizer, and the body mist. I'm very pleasantly surprised that I used the body mist and BB cream as much as I did. They aren't products I would normally reach for, so seeing how much I've gotten through makes me super happy to keep going.

That just leaves the last two products that you can't really tell how much I used. It's really hard to measure how much of a potted lip balm or a powder product you've used. I can tell you I haven't used the elf duo a ton, but I do use the blush as a topper because it has some shimmer to it. The bronzer is just too light to show up on me right now because I'm so tan. I have been using the crap out of my Nivea lip balm though. I love the way it feels.

That's all for now! Check back here on Friday for another new post.
